Member / Officer Boards Access

Well If they are here can I get Guild and Officer access please.  I'm guessing they are probably not up and running yet, but when ever is fine.  BTW Great Job Eli, and Sulf.  This looks very well done.

Re: Member / Officer Boards Access

The only boards here so far are the general discussion and then the 3 waiting rooms. Those are the only ones I can see on the existing boards.

I really need to get in game and get with some officers to ...

  • find out if Evo wants to keep and use this portal
  • if so, who I should set up as admins and/or moderators

I am going to work on getting my game patched up and getting the mods straightened out tonight and tomorrow. the last time I logged in just to make a mooncloth I was getting so many errors popping up that I could hardly get even that done.

As far as if this would replace the proboards, that is really up to the officers and the guild. However, I will say that I think you guys would have everything you need here and a heck of a lot more than you have on the proboards. There is nothing wrong with free, ad supported boards but I just feel that you would have a lot more control here as well as a lot more features.

But I might be just a tad biased  Cool

 Shocked
I've haven't done anything to set up this site. It's all Eli.

I've just been trying to promote it.

I think that we'd be better off with this site. It's intergrated and we pick and choose which options to use.

We don't have to have blogs or calendar or other features.

Things here look great so far. I've volunteered my skills with PHP and HTML to help customize the site to what we want. Just awaiting the official word on the site as a whole. My vote is to move everything here. Sure beats proboards and ads.

Just out of curiosity...if it's still being hosted in the same place....what happened to the old site?

Xandahr -

I had to move my hosting for due to some issues with my business sites (http://www.pokerparley.com). In my old set up I used Zope as my web application environment, on my new host I have gone to a more mainstream PHP set up. The old pages were almost 100% dependent on the Zope backend and could not be moved 'as is'. I asked on the proboards (http://www.evoites.proboards57.com/) what Evo wanted to do about the website and offered to get something working in the new place, Sulfur mentioned the idea of using this new 'portal package' you see here.

I like the new set up but I am still waiting to hear if this is what the guild wants to go with.

I need to get one or a few people set up as admins here so they can add new boards and start to get the overall portal set up how the guild wants it.

Well that makes a lot of sense then Smiley  Hopefully everything works out for you on your new host for the poker site.  Sounds like you have something to do after work, which is always a plus.  I myself have about nothing.  I can't play DAoC again until this weekend, and I finished the book I was reading last night.  So now I've got 2 days of nothing to do after work.  Lucky me, I guess. Not sure if I need to but I'm requesting access etc. This is Forsetti/Denath or Torrell from DAoC, coming back to game after a few months gone.
